CDC Developmental Checklist



 This month we will be exploring what it means to harvest.  We will learn about how fruits and vegetables grow on farms and in trees.  We will learn about the animals that live on farms and what those animals sound like.  There will be a pumpkin dissection and we will look at all the different parts of a pumpkin. October is a great  month to explore everything Fall and to learn about how the foods we eat grows. 

Language and Early Literacy: Begin to interact with stories through familiar hand motions and expression of emotions

Sign Language: Farm, Eat, Fruit, Vegetable

Letter: Introducing letters E and F

Color: Orange

Shape: Circle

Math: Understanding of identifying objects

Number: Introducing numbers 5 and 6

Science: Categorize objects based on simple observable properties

Physical Development: Manipulate small objects exploring how they can be combined and changed
